A staple vegetable


When I was a kid, the only vegetable I ate is Choy Sum (Chinese mustard leaves). I wouldn’t touched anything else as they all tasted bitter to my tastebuds.

I am truly blessed by the fact that Clayton, my 2 year old loves vegetables. One of his favourites is broccoli. This floret is known for lots of anti-cancer sulpharaphane, high in Vitamin C, iron and calcium!

The best way to serve is to lightly steam it or a quick stir-fry to avoid losing those precious vitamins as heat destroys Vitamin C easily. Spray the florets with Braggs Liquid Aminos and you are all ready!

My favourite herb : Lavender

One of my favourite herb is Lavender, well known for its classic fragrance and multi healing properties. In aromatherapy, it is primarily known as a stress-reliever and to ensure a calm and relaxing snooze. I like to sprinke a few drops of the oil on my pillow or blanket, the beautiful scent just relaxes the tired mind.

For whatever reason, I feel happy seeing a bush of Lavender when I’m in Australia. It just makes me feel good. Infact, the essential oil of Lavender is one of the few that is suitable for use when you are pregnant.

The versitility of the oil can be used as a refreshing fragrance in your wardrobe or as a spritzer in the car or room.
