DIY tips in the kitchen

As you may know, I always choose to clean with DIY remedies instead of using strong chemicals. When it comes to cleaning the kitchen, here are some tips to keep them clean in the natural way…

1. Keep your cutting board clean – this could be he source of food poisoning and a flu! The leftover residue on your cutting board is a feeding source for bacteria. To clean it, rub sea salt and water into your board and rinse off. 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and a bit of sea salt helps to deodorize too. Apple cider vinegar can also be used.

2. Clean and deodorize your fridge – Use half cup of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 1 glass of hot water. Clean the interior of the fridge thoroughly with a cloth or sponge, then wipe it over with a clean, damp cloth.

3. Clean stainless steel - My friend who bought a stainless steel kitchen top for her new luxury home asks me how to clean and polish it well. To do that, you can rub a thin paste of baking soda and apple cider vinegar on to the metal surface with a piece of cloth. Rinse well with water and dry.
