I have many friends who tend to get hangover after a late night out of too much drinking. I watch their tired faces, sluggish outlooks, loss of appetites, moodiness and all I can say is I like hangovers! Drinking alcohol dehydrates your body and the way to counteract the effects of alcohol is to hydrate your system. Someone asks me about hangover cures so I did some research and list down some natural remedies using fruits to help you get over those discomforts…
Lime – Drink a lime cocktail of adding two teaspoons of fresh lime juice and a teaspoon of sugar to a glass of warm water. Drink it slowly. This concoction will help stabilize your blood sugar. Do this first thing in the morning.
Apples are said to be effective when eaten on an empty stomach the day after drinking.
Tomato juice – The fructose in tomato juice helps your body metabolize alcohol more quickly.
Bananas – Make a banana milkshake sweetened with honey for breaky! The banana helps calm the stomach, and the honey restores the blood sugar levels. Milk soothes the stomach and rehydrates your system.
Persimmon – If you have a headache, eat a raw persimmon.
