elimination diets

It must be remembered that the purpose of elimination diets is to stimulate the body to release and get rid of toxic wastes, which are usually settled in the fatty tissues; the inherently weak tissues, glands and organs; lymphatic tissue and along the bowel walls, especially that of the colon. Elimination diets are what I call ‘one sided’ diets. Unlike a balanced diet, they are not meant to build and repair tissue along with eliminating unwanted substances from the body.

For your protection, I advise that you consult your doctor when you intend to use an elimination diet or fasting procedure. Many people want to know how to lose weight and they think that elimination diet is the way – yes and no. It is best to be under the supervision of a doctor or nutritionist for any elimination diet or procedure lasting more than three days, especially if you are chronically ill. Pregnant ladies and nursing mothers should not take on the elimination diets at all.
