cautionary herbs

Though I have never traveled to Switzerland and probably know the country for its swiss army watches and fine chocolates, I was told that the Swiss enjoy growing herbs in window boxes. These are then used for flavoring salads, soups and various other foods used in their daily meals. How nice it is to grow your own parsley, chives, rosemary, anise…etc.

Some herbs should be used with caution and wisdom and it must not be thought that larger dosage will help much more, same with dietary supplements. Here are some to be used with supervision or caution:

Borage, Broom, Chaparral, Coltsfoot, Comfrey (when taken internally), Foxglove, Juniper, Licorice Root, Pennyroyal, Pokeweed, Rue and Yohimbe.
