Walking is one of the simplest exercise to get into shape and relieving stress regardless of your fitness level. However, it can take a toll on your feet if you do not choose the right shoes. Before you begin your walking exercise, do a good nice stretch to avoid any muscle strain or injuries. Do it at a slow pace and build up your fitness level gradually.
When it comes to walking and outdoor shoes, my favourites go to Birkenstock Birkis and Crocs. Birkis is my latest sandal as it slips on easily with an open heel, closed toe, and adjustable strap at the vamp. The MaryJanes is stylish and has molded heel cups, the original Birk footbed, and toe-grip bars that provides maximum comfort. Crocs is the cheaper alternative that is comfortable with its Croslite material that slips in style with several designs for various occasions – boating, hiking, casual walking or sailing. What I like about Crocs is the slip resistant non marking sole and the comfort cushioning that is odor resistant. Most of the designs have heel ventilation ports that adds extra comfort to your feet.

Just keep in mind that different sports need different types of footwear and it is important to wear it right. To choose the right shoes, consider the type of activity you are engaging in, ensure space in the toe box to allow for swelling when you walk.
