Cheap Stretch Mark Remedies

While there are many remedies that you can create at home for stretch marks, many of them are very expensive. There are of course cheaper methods out there that you can make that will help you combat stretch marks that will not break the bank. Below are some inexpensive methods for dealing with these unsightly additions.

1) Shea Butter
Shea butter is a great moisturizer to minimize the appearance of stretch marks. It softens and soothes the skin and is generally hypoallergenic. You can find it at a health food store or an ethnic market in your area. If you use it every day, you will barely notice those marks.

2) Mixture of Oils May Help
Vitamin E caplets are excellent and cheap. It will heal them fast. You must remember that these came about with time and they will heal with time. This will not make them disappear, but they will fade. The following mixture of oils may help.

1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup aloe vera gel
10 vitamin E caplets – prick & drain into mixture
5 vitamin A caplets – prick & drain into mixture
Mix all of the above together and store in the refrigerator.

3) Emu Oil
Use pure emu oil, which you can get at health food stores, to fade and even remove scars and stretch marks. The reason is because emu oil penetrates all layers of the skin and can even help scars that are years old.

4) The Baby Oil
This method is best used when you apply baby oil after bathing while the skin is still wet.

5) Drink Some Water
Drinking a lot of water helps to keep the skin hydrated. You should also avoid drinking excessive amounts of alcohol which are known to dehydrate the body. When the body is hydrated, the skin can go with the stretching flow a bit easier.
