Whenever I step into a hotel or restaurant, I tend to take notice of the plants and flowers in the interiors. Plants are just as popular as furniture when one is deciding on furniture and soft furnishings - whether it’s for home or business use.

Aside from the aesthetic value plants provide your home with, there are also health benefits - we have been taught from our school teachers that plants cleanse the air through utilizing the carbon dioxide and producing more oxygen. This can also be said for flower arrangement in the office or home. Not only can a bouquet of flowers bring joy and cheer, it can liven the ambience of the home or office, while bringing positive feelings to the recipient. Try placing a lovely flower arrangement in your office and I can assure you of the compliments and smiles it will bring to anyone who sees it. Sometimes we think that only women will love flower arrangement as a gift but not necessary so. A flower gift can also be a beautiful way to congratulate and celebrate an occasion for a male friend, colleague or loved one. Don’t believe? Why not give it a try and watch the positive response?

I love flower arrangements. I actually considered once (before kids took over my life) to take a course in Ikebana. It’s amazing how the Japanese manage to arrange just a few flowers in such a beautifully harmonious way.
