a safe and sweet haven for baby
May 6, 2008 |
There’s nothing more wonderful than planning the nursery for your new baby. This is one excitement every parent looks forward to especially after you know the gender of the baby. So what kinds of things do you need to create a safe haven and optimal rest environment?
The trend for awhile was to have bright, stimulating colors in the nursery or mobiles in black and white to help the baby’s eyes develop. This faded from popularity pretty quickly after parents found out all the colourful stuff wasn’t conducive to sleep! A popular thing to do is to decorate the child’s room with Stuffed Animals since they add playfulness and fun to the room decor. I’m one parent who believes in safe wooden toys for little tots and if stuffed toys are your child’s favourite, you may want to check out Jelly Cat wide selections. Hailed from England, Jellycat stuffed animals seem like a popular companion and gift for children of all ages!
Make the room a pleasant one. If you use a scent, like lavender, keep it light. Nothing overpowering. Keep it as dust-free as possible to avoid sneezing and stuffy noses. The nursery should feel like a safe and cozy place that your baby associates with restfulness and security.

Great post! I’m not expecting — but I can’t wait until the day that I finally am! Creating a nursery is going to be such a joy and I can’t to get the chance to prepare a room for my little ones! : ]
