my second week in japan

I’m into my week two of our family vacation which explains why I haven’t been posting regularly. Apart from a sore back and aching muscles on my calves, the trip has been great.

It was great to spend quality time together as a family and enjoying the sights and places. Tokyo, in Kyoto and Osaka are beautiful cities to visit and I personally have enjoyed the Japanese culture. The Japanese pays alot of attention and details to their personal hygiene, beauty and appearance. It is easy to find lots of health and beauty options everywhere but due to language barriers, I haven’t been able to find any organic shops to peek into. I find that teenagers are searching for treatments for acne and weight issues. Just turning on the tv and I can see that the tv-mercial selling is a strong market. While in Japan, be prepared to eat alot of pickled radish, soup and food products made from soy beans and raw salads whenever you have a Japanese meal. One thing I know, it’s easy to stay slim in Japan if you are on the public transport cos you need to walk so much and climb many flights of stairs each time you switch from subway to subway.

Tomorrow is my last day in Tokyo before heading to Hong Kong… till then, have a healthy week ahead.
