Health and Travels

Unlike some people who don’t bother about their health when they travel, I make sure I bring all that I need for every trip I make. I like to bring my manuka honey, propolis, probiotics….etc. I don’t like to scout around for natural health remedies when I’m on the move as some countries may not be as accessible as the rest.

I just took a trip with my family members and we had a great time in Hong Kong. From the trip, I can see that my brother is having some allergies and it can be hard to avoid as he has been taking construction jobs in the last few years. I shared my experience on health remedies for sinusitis and I hope he can try when he goes back home. Using steam to open the nasal passages is good but avoiding smoky and dusty places is a must for people suffering from breathing difficulties.

I’m heading home today and can’t wait to do an enema as soon as I get back home. It’s just a good way to clean up my body after an eating trip!

Having An Organic Health Garden

A new organic shop has just opened up around the corner and this means I would have closer accessibility to my organic health shopping. When I was in Bali, I was delighted to see so many organic salads in the restaurant menus and they were indeed delicious!

I really hope that I can grow an organic garden some day. It is nice to pick some herbs from the garden, pluck a few pesticide free tomatoes and savor a ripe fruit from my own tree. There are indeed many benefits to having an organic garden. One thing I know, there will be no pesticides or synthetic fertilizers used. These chemical products are applied to obtain crops all the time regardless plagues or weather conditions, and affect the quality of the vegetables. Besides, pesticides are usually poisonous to humans.

Some years ago, a friend who knows that I’m into organic health send me a couple of Christmas cards with some real organic plant seeds. I have been busy that I haven’t got time to start planting them. The thing with organic garden is this – You can be rest assured that your vegetables will not be genetically modified (GM). Antibiotics, drugs and hormones are used on vegetables to grow more and larger ones. One of the consequences of this practice are vegetables which look all the same and are usually tasteless. Besides, we end up consuming the hormones that have been used on the vegetables, with the potential risks for our health.
Eating your own organic vegetables will be much more healthy for you. They will not contain any of the products or chemicals named above, and they will be much more natural than any ones you would find at the supermarket. Your health will not be at risk because you will then know that nothing has been added to your vegetables.

Natural Health Remedies and Info on Sinusitis

Our family just got back from a short vacation in Bali and it was nice to be in the sun for a few days. The weather was very hot but turned breezy at night. What I like about Bali is that you could get very fresh organic salads that are of high quality. I can also see that the Balinese have themselves lots of natural health remedies to share with all their tradition.

This lovely place had become a very popular tourist destination in the last many years. My son was so happy about the private pool that he was literally swimming day and night though he was having sinusitis. The development of more villas offer more job opportunities for the locals which made Bali a great place to visit. My sinus was cleared due to the clean air from our private garden and the open spaces was great for respiratory health.

I was searching for some natural health remedies for sinus infections during the trip and came to know that the best way is to avoid cold and bacterial infections by avoiding places that have too much humidity. This can be done by installing humidifiers in the room, keeping the humidity levels ideally at 45-50%. The air should not be too dry. If the air is too dry, you can try breathing through a moist towel. Air conditioners also have air purifying systems that do not allow bacteria to grow.

Some people are more likely to have a sinus attack if they are susceptible to allergies. People who are prone to sinus attacks should avoid pollutants like cigarette smoke and even alcohol. They should also avoid places like swimming pools that have chlorine-treated water since chlorine increases nasal irritation. Other things to be avoided are dust, pollen, mold, or any foods that trigger allergies. There are many tests to determine the vulnerability to certain irritants.
