The weather is taking a big change today after a few days of hot spells. It’s been a very busy week for me and I find my levels of anxieties rising in the last few days that I’m really thankful that the weekends are here! Being someone who embraces organic health, I ordered my first organic fruit and vegetable box this week and I’m delighted with what I got!
Today has been raining for the whole day and the creek outside my house is overflowing again! It feels like I would need a pair of rain boots if the rain persists since I’ll be out and about quite a lot. This afternoon, hubby and myself went to the bicycle shops and we got ourselves a bicycle each. It may seem absurd but this is infact my first bicycle and I’m excited to get on the tracks again! It feels nice to have a bicycle of my own! I can pursue my organic health lifestyle with more exercise from now on and I heard that exercise is one of the best remedies to cope with anxiety!
In case you don’t know, some of the most common symptoms of anxiety include shortness of breath, heart palpitations, hyperventilation, dizziness, and stress. These symptoms are easily remedied or minimized by exercise. Regular cardiovascular exercise strengthens the heart and lungs ñ organs affected by the symptoms. By making the heart stronger, exercise helps lower blood pressure and regulate heartbeat. A stronger heart also ensures that enough oxygen is supplied to the brain which minimizes dizzy spells. Cardiovascular exercise also increases lung power which prevents hyperventilation and shortness of breath. Exercise also reduces stress by encouraging the release of endorphins or feel-good hormones in the body. Aside from improving your body’s capability to handle anxiety symptoms, exercise also offers benefits that can make your general condition better.
