			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Now that I have a high reading in my cholesterol levels, I&#8217;m paying special attention to my diet and lifestyle habits with vigilance. We all know that a good way to start a healthy diet is to have a breakfast. Instead of eating bread, the individual can consume oatmeal instead. Studies have shown this can lower the cholesterol in the body by more than 20% after just two weeks of use.</p>
<p>It is tough to just have oatmeal in the morning. Sometimes, the individual can have a fruit such as an apple. Studies have shown that people who eat at least 2 full apples a day or drink 12 ounces of apple juice are able to reduce the chances of heart diseases by 50%. This can be purchased at the supermarket and eaten during anytime of the day such as dessert after a light meal or as a snack.</p>
<p>During lunch or dinner, the person must have some vegetables in the meal. Those who order can have fish or poultry instead of eating red meat. Such dishes are not high in saturated fats, which are healthier. Those who love to cook at home can try mixing some healthy things ingredients in the meal. One example is garlic that has natural properties that can declog the arteries and again lower the odds of succumbing to heart disease.</p>

<p>Perhaps, the term Cardiovascular Disease covers a large number of diseases that directly affect the heart and the blood vessel system. It especially affects the veins and arteries that lead to and from the heart. Research has suggested that women who suffer with cardiovascular disease usually suffer from forms that affect the blood vessels. While men usually suffer from forms that affect the heart muscle itself. Other known or associated causes of cardiovascular disease include diabetes mellitus, hypertension and hypercholesterolemia.</p>
<p>Heart disease and strokes are other common cardiovascular diseases. Two independent risk factors that have a major impact for heart diseases, cardiovascular diseases, are high blood pressure and high blood cholesterol.</p>
<p>Today heart disease does not have to be a death sentence. There are healthy lifestyle choices that can be made and science has come a long way in the early detection of heart disease.</p>

By now, most of us are aware that cholesterol is classified into two kinds. The first is called LDL or low-density lipoprotein, also known as bad cholesterol and having too much of it can cause problems.</p>
<p>The second type of chloresterol is known as the HDL or high-density lipoprotein, which is called good cholesterol. There must a balance between the two so that the heart, blood circulation and all the other systems can function properly.</p>
<p>The natural way to reduce cholesterol will be to do something physical everyday. A person can do brisk walking every other day while those in between can be working up some sweat in the gym while working on the weight machines. Another natural way will be to eat right. This may mean changing your eating habits but the long terms effects are rewarding. The individual will have to cut down on red meat, other oily foods and junk food. This includes bread, cake, candy bars, cookies, French fries and potato chips.</p>
<p>You should also change the way your food is cooked if you want to reduce cholesterol naturally. Instead of frying, you can choose to boil, steam or lightly cooked your foods. And if possible, introduce raw foods into your diet.</p>

<p>For a long time, the traditional western diet has very high in meat and animal fat, lacking in vegetables, fruits and grains. This has made people all over the world extremely vulnerable to heart and blood vessel disease.</p>
<p>By making some changes, it is possible to make a huge difference to the heart and general health. Start out with the changes one at a time, this way they are more likely to last. <p>Fish is another excellent option! Eat it fresh or canned twice a week,</p>
<p>Use mono unsaturated or polyunsaturated oils such as olive oil, canola, sunflower and safflower for cooking.</p>
<p>Use small amounts of margarine spreads or olive oil instead of butter.</p>
<p>Grill, boil, steam, bake or microwave rather than fry.</p>
<p>Reduce your salt intake.</p>
<p>Drink plenty of water.</p>
