remodeling bathroom for a healthy and clean home

After living in this house for coming nine years, we feel that it’s about time to remodel our bathroom. I have read many home improvement magazines on bathroom remodeling tips and it seems that most home owners would have a common concern. If you were remodeling your bathroom and then realize that there is mold to be dealt with, mold, what would you do?

Firstly, you need to understand what mold is. Mold is scientifically described as being a microscopic fungus. Not only does this fungus look yucky and unsightly, it can be dangerous. While some types of mold are considered relatively harmless, there are other types of mold that are considered toxic. Unfortunately, due to the moisture that can be found inside most bathrooms, black, toxic mold can be found in thousands of bathrooms in the United States. Toxic mold should be removed by a professional. If your mold is not taken care of, professionally, it can begin to spread and even move into other parts of your home.

Once you get that cleared, you can then have the peace of mind to select the various accessories for your Bathrooms. With technology advancement, online shopping for shower systems, bathtubs, bathroom tiles or whirlpool baths can be an enjoyable and fun one.

air purifiers for your child’s room

Four years ago, before I became a mom, I had been warned that when my baby arrived, my life will literally change forever. Indeed, it had. Like most parents, I would do just about anything to ensure the health and safety of your new baby. One of the first things I did was to invest in an ultra quiet air purifier.

There is a good chance that you have heard of air purifiers before. If you haven’t, they are electronic devices that help clean the air indoors. This is often done with filters and collection grids. These filters and collection grids tend to trap bacteria and air particles, preventing them from circulating around inside your home. Of course, clean air is important for all, but it is especially important for young children.

If the air inside your home or your child’s room is unhealthy, whether it be due to smoking, pets, or a lack of fresh air, do you know the impact it may have on your child? Smoking, pet hair, and the lack of fresh air has been known to cause numerous health problems. These problems may include asthma. That is why it is important that you do everything in your power to keep the air inside your home, or at least the air inside your child’s room clean and pure. If you are a smoker or a pet owner, the best option may be to quit smoking or get rid of your pets, but if that is not an option an ultra quiet air purifier may do.

Here’s the review of someone who had used the RabbitAir BioGS ultra quiet air purifier:

I just received my air purifier yesterday and had a chance to use it near my bed for one night of sleeping so far. I have mild asthma and I am heavily effected by Ozone (it makes me react badly to it) so part of the reason I bought this brand was it touted “no ozone” It does have an ionizer on it and those produce ozone. However, you can have it turned off at all times if you want. Even with it on my reactions to it are mild, I spoke to a rep at Rabbit Air who have 24/7 phone support and they told me it uses a low power ionizer so its not a smelly and intense Ozone generation. So for those with Asthma and Ozone sensativity you can turn off the ionizer! Also for those who are wondering the size it stands about 20 inches off the floor.
