Natural And Organic Skincare Everywhere

As I look around me during my trip in
Singapore,I noticed there are lots of new natural and organic skin are products in the stores.

In the past, you can only buy these things in speciality stores but now,you can get them in neighbourjood pharmacies and shops, which makes it convenient for consumers. There is definitely better acceptance and more awareness than before. I was shopping for some li ion batteries yesterday and ended up with a bag of natural and organic facial and skin care products.

It’s somewhat hard to stay balanced inn my diet when I’m traveling. I find myself needing some fresh salads and fruits and I need a break from the busy Christmas crowd. I’m planning to spend some time in front of a quiet book today. That is what this tired mind really crave for!

Organic Health Matters: Phytochemicals

In recent years scientists have discovered that foods contain “phytochemicals”, which is a fancy name for naturally occurring chemicals. This is not the same as nutrients, which we all know are the substances necessary for sustaining life. As a result, organic health experts continue to encourage the consumption of supplements with phytochemicals. This has even spread to the beauty industry as scientists unveil how phytochemicals can assist in anti aging.

Phytochemicals have properties that can aid in disease prevention and cures. Scientists have identified thousands of these chemicals in the foods we eat and a single serving of fruit or vegetables can contain as many as one hundred different phytochemicals. Some dieticians encourage their clients to include more fruits and vegetables in their diet due to the phytochemicals present in these fresh foods. You can even see phytochemical foods served in parties, celebrity engagements and social gatherings. It’s all done in the name of better health!

The most commonly known phytochemicals are the antioxidants. Antioxidants protect our cells from damage by toxic substances and free radicals (a by-product produced by our bodies which converts oxygen into energy). Free radicals can damage cells in our bodies which can lead to disease. Antioxidants protect the body from oxidation and reduce the risk of acquiring many common ailments.

Leading an Organic Health Lifestyle

If you are working towards a lifestyle of pure organic health, then you need to stay active or do something to keep fit. There are many other options to get active that don’t require running, weight lifting or other conventional ways to work out. Here are a few ideas to get active:

1) Turn up the Music at home and Dance
While you are doing your chores, putting up dishes, straightening up the kids’ rooms, or after you’ve been sitting around for too long, just play some of your favorite upbeat music and dance around in the house. Not only will you get your heart rate up, but you’ll also have more fun doing some of those chores. That might be a natural approach to searching for the best diet pills.

2) Do Some Gardening
When the weather is nice, just get out there and plant some flowers. Or you could start a little vegetable garden, trim some hedges, cut the grass, or plant a tree. You get the idea. Just get out there, enjoy the sunshine and fresh air, and play in the dirt. Yes, this actually counts as exercise in our book.

3) Invite a friend for a walk
Take a walk and invite a friend to come along. Iíve had some of the best conversations while on a walk. Getting to chat with a friend makes the time fly by and before you know it youíve been walking for 30 minutes.

4) Sign up for a Pilates Class
Consider starting a pilates class. Both of these workouts are pretty low impact and wonít leave you sweaty and sore (mostly). You may also enjoy meeting some new people in the class.

5) Go for a Bike Ride
This has to be my favourite! Take the entire family on a bike ride. You can ride through your neighborhood in the evenings or plan a longer trip for the weekend. Pack a picnic for extra fun and start peddling.

With these activities, you will be closer to leading an organic health lifestyle!
