Acupuncture as a Holistic Treatment

Lower back pain has long been the bain of the modern world not only in lost man hours but also because of the numerous side effects, complications and nuances of lower back pain complaints. While many people would pop pain killers to stop any pain, there are holistic treatments to tackling lower back pain. It is said that acupressure and acupuncture have been helpful to many areas of health care including low-back pain, osteoarthritis, low-back pain, headache, menstrual cramps, carpal tunnel syndrome, and asthma, just to name a few.

Studies had shown that acupuncture was able to provide pain relief, improve function and mobility of joints due to arthritis inflammation and had been helpful to complementary healing. Once upon a time, I had doubted the effectiveness of acupuncture, but after being a patient, I became a believer. There are many testimonies including a man who hurt his upper back while carrying a motorcycle jack but after a series of acupuncture treatments, the pain was greatly reduced.

It has been proposed that acupuncture works and produces its effects through regulating the nervous system holistically. It induces the release of endorphins and immune system cells at specific areas on the body. Without a shadow of doubt acupuncture is beneficial for the person seeking for overall health and it had helped with my back pain. As a holistic treatment, acupuncture works on the belief that we must maintain balance of our vital energy flow in order to remain healthy. To be healthy, our vital energy flow has to be balanced and acupuncture is able to achieve that holistically. When in doubt if the treatment is suitable for you, always speak to a qualified doctor or health expert.
