Moving into the third week of the New Year, I’m making some adjustments to my health goals. All these years, I have been learning alot about holistic treatment and natural health and along the way, I will try out some methods to see if they work. In all my efforts, there are some generic facts that most of us should keep in mind, especially when it comes to natural weight loss.
For those who are seeking for answers and ways to lose weight naturally, I thought I would list down 11 simple and natural weight loss tips for your consideration:
2. Consume more fruits, at least twice a day.
3. Pick up an aerobic exercise- working out a minimum of 30 minutes three times a week. This means any exercise that increases your breathing and heart rate. Some suggestions include walking, Pilates, jumping on the rebounder…etc. Consult your doctor before embarking on any strong physical exercise if you have any health concerns.
4. Give yourself a reward (excluding a gourmet one!) for every 5 pounds lost.
5. Bring a healthy lunch to work at least three times a week or consider ordering healthy meal plans.
6. Start strength training twice a week as your fitness improves. Building muscle increases your metabolism and forces your body to use fat, not muscle, when you’re cutting back on calories. Cut down on carbohydrates and stick to lean white meat and fish, and you will notice vast improvements here.
7. Avoid eating while watching television.
9. Eat breakfast daily. This suppresses the appetite for most of the day and provides fuel for the brain while at work or looking after the kids! You will feel better and have more energy all day if you eat a low fat cereal in the morning.
10. Keep healthful diet snacks at home and at work.
11. Shop for food when you are not hungry, and use a shopping list.
With these simple and natural ways to lose weight, I hope it’s a good start for you. It’s alright to search out the best colon cleanse or some weight loss supplements but without making a change in your lifestyle, your weight loss efforts won’t last for very long. It’s only the first month of the year – get started and don’t procrastinate.
