Natural and Home Remedies to Keep The Cold Away

Nobody likes to be down with a cold or flu and if you are an allergy sufferer like me, you will do anything to avoid worsening a cold or flu. For years, I have stuck to some natural and home remedies to ward off colds but my struggle has always been to keep stress at bay!

I believe in drinking lots of pure water and liquids are important as you can get the much needed nutrients when you don’t feel like eating and it also keeps you from being dehydrated. Drink lots of liquids like water, soups, veg or non veg and other fluids like fruit juices. Beet and carrot juice, both are rich in nutrients. Fruit juice mixed with water in equal quantity and dash of sugar provides the necessary glucose.

By humidifying your room there will be less discomfort of a cough, sore throat or dry nasal passages. If youĂre blowing your nose continuously, it will be sore and red. Lubricate your nostrils with petroleum jelly products to decrease the irritation. For tired achy muscles, ease away the pain with a warm compress. Soak your feet in hot water to alleviate any headache or nasal congestion. In fact soaking the feet is a good natural remedy for sore and aching heels and legs. I have shared this with many people including this guy I knew from the Baldwin door hardware store.

For more natural health and home remedies, ensure that your room has plenty of fresh air supply all the times. Prevent chills by wearing warm, close fitting clothes. Ask someone to give you a back rub as it activates the immune system to fight the flu. During flu, one should eat lightly. Snack on fruits, cereals, boiled food, etc.

If a sore or scratchy throat accompanies the flu infection, get relief by gargling with salt water solution. It will wash out any secretions collected in your throat.

Take a warm tbsp of honey mixed with lemon at night to get quick relief.

Warm water mixed with lemon and honey is good to loosen phlegm.

Gargle daily with 1 drop of each of tea tree oil and lemon mixed in glass of warm water. Stir well and do not swallow.

Add 10-20 drops of either tea tree, eucalyptus, lemon or lavender oil to your hot water bath. This helps your immune system fight the viral infect and ease your symptoms. Check out Heal Sniffles too.

Take 1 tbsp of lukewarm honey mixed with 1/4 tsp of cinnamon powder daily for 3-4 days. It strengthens the immune system and protects the body from bacteria and viral attacks.

Natural Health Remedies to Rid the Cold

The weather has been rather crazy since we got back from our Asia trips and my highly sensitive nose isn’t coping very well. As such, I have been down with a cold since yesterday and one of the best natural health remedies for a cold is a good sleep.

I took a nap this afternoon to rest up that tired body of mine and felt much better after that. A cold usually comes on slowly. Early symptoms include feeling tired, sneezing, coughing and having a runny nose. People who have colds do not always have fevers, or sometimes their fevers are very low-one to two degrees above normal. When you feel a cold coming on, try to stay home and rest, especially if you have a fever. It’s a good idea to stop smoking and to avoid secondhand smoke while you are ill (and while you’re healthy, too) and to keep away from alcohol.

I’ve been taking lots of manuka honey and echinacea to fight off any infections. Warm water is also good if the post nasal drip is bothering you and you should avoid icy drinks or foods till your nose clears up. After that nap in the afternoon, I could get some life insurance quotes and do some work before preparing dinner for the family. Simple natural health remedies like manuka honey, propolis, lemon and echinacea are my favourites.

Not all vitamins get an “A+” when it comes to helping you stay healthy. Research now shows that some forms of vitamin C, such as Ester-C, provide an advanced type of protection. The patented supplement also contains vitamin C metabolites that may increase its effectiveness, and it is shown to work in the immune system for 24 hours. It is also pH balanced, which makes it gentler on the stomach than regular vitamin C-ascorbic acid. Similarly, not all vitamin E is the same. Ester-E is a patented form of vitamin E that is readily utilized by the body. Its unique properties help to protect its potency and its antioxidant strength.

Natural Health Remedies and Facial Treatments

Many of us women know that dirt doesn’t sit well on our skin. If we don’t keep our face clean by washing regularly everyday, we can get into alot of stress over a period of time. You can use simple natural health remedies to keep our face glowing and nice but the bottom line is still to keep it clean.

Facial treatments are very important if you live in a major city that are most prone to dust and pollution. In fact, they are good natural remedies to have if you want to maintain good skin health. When you are in the hands of a professional therapist, she will give your face a thorough cleanse and exfoliation before pampering it with some products that perk your skin up. I prefer to go to a shop that uses natural or organic products.

Some people can’t spare the time for facials and if they are confronted with acne issues, they can seek the web for information and help. They can also find out more if certain products work for others so by reading epiduo reviews and other product reviews, they can make better choices.

Simple natural health remedies for the face can include a regular clay mask and a moisturizing mask that can replace the loss in the skin. YOu can either make your own but I find it easier to buy them from good brands that are contain organic or natural ingredients.
